The Ottawa Visitors Center was established to serve the traveling public with information on lodging, attractions, events and tourism amenities. We market Ottawa in partnership with the regional tourism coalition, Illinois Bureau of Tourism and other organizations. We assist in the development of the hospitality industry and deliver professional tourism services to the business community.
To help further tourism in Ottawa, Illinois the Ottawa Visitors Center offers the following programs to tourism related businesses and special event planners to provide some monetary assistance in the marketing of their business and or event.
- Event Assistance Program: The Ottawa Visitors Center is interested in providing financial assistance for advertising, marketing and promotion of worthwhile events that generate an economic impact on the community. Priority consideration will be given to those events that produce overnight visitors in excess of 50 miles from Ottawa, other than major markets in Illinois. Click here to download the application

Tourism Related Businesses – Business which attracts visitors from outside Ottawa. They provide amenities for visitors while they are here. These visitor friendly sites include, but are not limited to: restaurants, attractions, museums, retail shops and lodging facilities.
