What do you do for the Visitors Center?

My main responsibility is to welcome and assist visitors the best I can. Keep our web site current with all the great activities in the area. Also direct people to the historical sites in town as well as dining, shopping, lodging and exciting events such as Ottawa's 2 Rivers Wine & Jazz Festival, Midwest Morel Festival and Ice Odyssey

What brought you to Ottawa originally?

Born and raised here, the only place I would consider to raise a family.

What is your favorite thing about Ottawa?

I would have to say the people, I have meet some incredible people thru the years, we have a great community. If I did not believe in this community, because of that reason I belong to the Ottawa Downtown Merchants, non-for-profit group that brings in or partners up to bring you wonderful Festivals, such as Scarecrow Festival, Ice Odyssey.

What famous Ottawa person would you like to meet?

I actually had the pleasure to meet the one famous Ottawa person, that I would have wanted to, grew up watching "ALL MY CHILDREN" so of course it honor to meet Walt Willey.

What do you enjoy most about working at the OVC?

I get excited about the different people that come in. I like to find out what they are interested in and help make the most of time in they are in the area. We really do have a lot to offer.
